A unique day of workshops where participants study archive sources for local history in the morning and then create artistic responses based on archive maps in the afternoon. Choose just one or both courses.

Morning Course (10.00 – 1.00)

Have you ever wondered how to trace your own local history? This course is an introduction to archive sources for local history research, in particular maps, the census, electoral rolls, wills, deeds etc. This course is led by Archive Consultant, Nicola Waddington

Afternoon Course (2.00-5.00)

Using archive maps from the morning course as your inspiration learn how to draw a map from your own imagination or your local area. This course is led by Artist Kathryn Rennie.
